Alcatel has launched two handsets and those are already listed on Amazon, the Alcatel A7 and the Alcatel A5 LED. Both handsets are MediaTek powered and the A5 LED is quite unique with LightUP + Mod – also the World’s first Modular LED phone.
Alcatel A5 LED price is Rs. 12,999 and the Alcatel A7 is priced at Rs. 13,999. A5 LED comes with Alcatel Power+ PC01C back cover with built in battery and on both A5 and A7 you get free one time replacement.
Alcatel A5 LED is MediaTek MT6753 octa core powered and features a 5.2 inch screen with 720p resolution. Android marshmallow runs out of the box that is disappointing and there is 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM and micro SD support.
This dual SIM weights about 159 grams. The primary camera is a 13MP with f/2.0 aperture and front camera is 5MP. Key features are 4G, VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi. A 2800 mAh battery powers the Alcatel A5 LED. This looked like a good buy, unique with rear LED cover for unique light experience but the specs are pretty outdated.
Alcatel A7 is also MT6750T octa core powered running Nougat over a 5.5 inch screen with FHD resolution. This handset comes with 16MP rear camera with flash and front camera is 8MP with front flash.
The A7 does come with finger print sensor and weight is 163 grams. Alcatel A7 supports VoLTE, 4G, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC. It houses a 4000 mAh battery with fast charging support.
Alcatel A5 LED price on Amazon is Rs. 12,999 with Alcatel Power+ PC01C Mod (worth Rs. 4K) and Alcatel A7 price is Rs. 13,999.
