If you may recall Airtel already launched  a smartphone in partnership with Karbonn and now they have launched another low cost smartphone in partnership with Celkon. Airtel and Celkon under Mera Pehla 4G smartphone scheme launched a smartphone for Rs. 1,345.

As mentioned the Price of Rs. 1,345 is an effective price which means you need to follow certain steps and you will get the benefit after over a year (18 month / 36 months). So when you first get the handset it will cost you Rs. 2,849 and with that you get the smartphone and Airtel plan of Rs. 169.

This Airtel 169 plan gives you 500 MB of data (4G) per day for 28 days and you also get unlimited voice calling. You need to keep recharging this i.e. 169 plan for up to 36 months. So once you keep recharging every month for up to 18 months then you will get Rs. 500 refund (cash) and when you do this up to 36 months you will get Rs. 1000 cash refund, so after 36 months you get total of Rs. 1,500 that brings the effective cost of the handset to Rs. 1,349.
